The Beginning

The Mosin Nagant Rifle, in all its versions, long rifle to carbine, was produced in greater volume than maybe any battle rifle in history. With over 38 million units produced in and by Russia alone, millions remain in use or as collectibles today. This site is dedicated to Mosin lovers and shooters.

The shooting accomplishments of Mosin-armed Soviet and Finnish snipers is legendary. Was it them or the rifle? Most likely it was both. It was the right tool for the times in the right hands, and there is no reason today’s shooter cannot enjoy similarly fabled accuracy.

Mosins are fun to shoot, but most of the ones in the hands of shooters these days are potentially much more accurate. Even ones whose barrels have seen much better days can usually be made into a good, if not

great, shooter. Often just a few small changes will make an immense difference. Knowing what to do and how to do it is often a mystery.

A more accurate Mosin Nagant is attainable. There are numerous ways and tweaks the average guy or gal can do, and they are not necessarily expensive. It’s not necessary to spend a lot of money.

The Accurate Mosin Nagant is dedicated an exploration of potential. It’s a journey, not a destination. So long as there are shooters, craftsmen, and innovators the breed will only get better.

The Accurate Mosin Nagant is dedicated to that pursuit. It’s a site by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. We plan regular posts and other publications, along with unique products and providers to enhance the journey. We have the goods if you have the time.

Happy shooting!

PS – I almost forgot — there’s a really useful newsletter I publish that is about all things Mosin (rifles, that is; I am less fond of handguns). No obligation, not harassment, NO SPAM . For you I plan some good newsletter-only stuff.
